Per the OpenCloud reference crawl: the overview thumb renders the real server thumbnail (/api/v1/thumb + onerror fallback, the tiles' pattern) for thumbable kinds; on files the block is clickable (zoom-in cursor) and opens the full viewer via the existing pane exclusion; clicking a row or tile surface while the pane is open retargets it to that item — the name still opens the file, interactive elements untouched. Red witnessed, green 38/38 + fence.

The overview thumb block renders the server thumbnail for thumbable
kinds (same /api/v1/thumb + onerror fallback the tiles use); on files
the block is clickable and opens the full viewer, which swaps panes
via the existing mutual exclusion. Clicking a row or tile surface
while the pane is open retargets the pane to that item (the OpenCloud
interaction) instead of opening a preview; the name still opens the
file, and interactive elements are untouched.
