Found in the #656 QA pass (v0.6.247, files.c0rdyceps.ch).

Rule: style guide, Empty states: "one honest sentence, muted, translated — never a bare gap". Mono is reserved for paths, keys, links and technical identifiers.

Steps

Create a new folder (_qa) and open it.

Expected: one empty state.

Seen: two.

Inside the panel: folder icon, "Empty. Upload a file or create a folder to begin.", with Upload file / New folder buttons (good).
Below the panel: #status renders "This folder is empty." in SF Mono at 12.5px, outside the card.

When the folder has content, the same status line sits inside the panel footer ("0 folders, 5 files"), so this looks like the empty case skipping the footer placement and falling back to a bare mono line.
