Both walkthrough flags from the first live #160 acceptance:

  1. Restart poll switched from the setup-only status endpoint (whose post-restart 401 + Basic challenge made Edge throw its native sign-in dialog over the page) to unauthenticated /auth/mode; handover goes to /login.
  2. Visible EN/DE/FR/IT selector, live re-translate, persisted into cairn-prefs.lang so the rest of first-run and the app inherit the choice.

HTML-only (both web/static and webdist copies) + CHANGELOG v0.5.6.
